Description

Not only will you be part of an Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga teacher training course, but you will also learn, practice and teach how to develop the intention and meaning of the practice. You will also develop your skills in business and yoga ethics and the qualities of a yoga instructor. Come and be inspired.

What is Covered?

  • Mixed levels of Ashtanga yoga, Rocket, Vinyasa flow, Restorative Yoga and Self-Practice.
  • Pranayama (breathing techniques) / Meditation / Chanting (Bhakti yoga)
  • Yoga anatomy / physiology, including the subtle body, p. Eg chakras
  • History and Philosophy of Yoga, p. Eg yoga sutras, eight branches of Ashtanga yoga
  • Yogic and Conscious Living in Theory and Practice / Yogic Diet
  • Teaching methodology and adjustments / Sanskrit names of asanas
  • Kriya (cleansing)
  • How to develop the intention and meaning of the practice.
  • Yoga Business and Ethics / Qualities of a Yoga Instructor

Meet the Teachers

Mark ansari – Lead teacher

Born in London, Mark is a registered E-RYT 500 hour Yoga Alliance Teacher, he splits his time between UK, Spain, Thailand, India & Bali. He has been teaching yoga since 1995 and is recognised as one of the first Ashtanga yoga teachers to settle and teach regular classes in the UK, having studied directly with Ashtanga yoga founder Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India. In addition to his initial training, Mark has also studied asana, pranayama and meditation with some of the worlds most renowned gurus and teachers such as Clive Sheridan, Narayani Rabinovitch, Derek Ireland & Godfrey Devereux, to name but a few.

Raquel Salvador – Lead teacher

Raquel was born in Spain and moved to London in 1999 where she started her yoga practice. She quickly noticed profound effects occurring through her varied Hatha yoga practices, not just physically but emotionally and spiritually as well. Seeking to deepen her knowledge of yoga she undertook a 1-year teacher training course in 2007 in London, followed by further training in Mysore, India.

Adam Turner – Guest Teacher

Adam started his yoga journey in 2006, after discovering a yoga exercise video, he was instantly drawn to the power involved and the enormous sense of well-being he experienced after exercise. After 10 years of self-study and practice, Adam completed his 200-hour yoga teacher training in Spain.

Yoga Alliance Certificate and Study Materials
10 Class pass to be used at Turnilla Yoga over the duration of the training.

We can consider instalment payments. If you are interested, please contact us directly to work out a payment plan. We will require a non-refundable deposit of € 500 on booking and then at least 1 instalment of € 250 to be paid before the start of the course.
